The 2026 Masters
It's never too early to have Georgia on my Mind
It’s the offseason, and while I took a little break from these emails, I certainly haven’t stopped thinking about golf. As usual, I’ve asked Ron nicely to put together some previews for the upcoming season’s majors. We’ve got a pretty damn solid slate for the year ahead.
Looking ahead over the next few weeks, we’ll also take a peek at the
PGA Championship - Aronimink Golf Club
TGL Preview - Season Two: Leaning into It
U.S. Open - Shinnecock Hills Golf Club
The Open - Royal Birkdale GC
By the time we get through all that, it’ll be time to tee off at Waialae Country Club in gorgeous Honolulu.
This is always the most boring of the four offseason look-ahead articles, even if it’s clearly the best major, simply because it’s not a look at a course we haven’t seen in a while, like the other three.
That said, we sometimes receive changes to ANGC for review, and for now, there doesn’t seem to be much activity this year. The biggest offseason change came to the qualification criteria.
As golf continues to be a more global game, several more national opens, including the Scottish, Spanish, Japanese, Hong Kong, and Australian Opens, will now give winners a one-year exemption to play the Masters, similar to the winners of the various Amateur championships
As he’ll do with all the 2026 Major sites, Ron Klos put together a nice look-ahead preview for the course, including some early odds. Perfect for the golf bettor who’s been dying to get ready for the season.
This is free to read for everyone, not just members, so go ahead and get yourself in the mood for the 2026 season.

As I mentioned, we have three full weeks before we get into the start of the actual PGA season, so keep an eye on your inbox for TGL, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and Open Championship previews over the coming weeks.
Also, for members, or potential members, this is going to be an exciting year for the Rabbit Hole, as we’re slowly but surely working on intergrating official DPWT data and stats
